Nominate Your Neighbours

Is there a local garden that inspires you? A pretty front garden that makes you smile on your way to work?

Oakham In Bloom are looking for nominations for their annual local garden awards, from the smallest shop frontage to the larger secret home gardens.

We’d like residents and visitors to nominate their favourites in the Best Secret Garden and Best Front Garden categories – if you know of a neighbour or friend who takes great pride in their garden please let us know by emailing with their name, address and contact details (or your contact details so we can get in touch to judge), or contact Maureen Dodds on 01572 723434. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the details – just a street address is fine!

In addition to the best private gardens their are also categories for local businesses: Best Licensed Premises and Best Business Premises – all businesses in Oakham are judged, but we’d love to hear from you if you have a particular favourite!

On 12 July, the East Midlands In Bloom judges are invited to choose their favourite display on the judging route.

Oakham In Bloom’s Awards are held every September and nominees are all invited to attend, with winners announced on the night and trophies and certificates presented.
